Welcome to DNS Dingo. By accessing or using our website, services, or applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Snapit Software ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Terrell Flautt, located in Texas, USA.
2. Description of Service
DNS Dingo provides DNS lookup and propagation checking services. Our Service allows you to:
- Check DNS record propagation across global DNS servers
- Look up various DNS record types (A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, NS)
- View propagation status on an interactive world map
- Monitor DNS changes over time (Pro users)
- Perform bulk DNS lookups (Pro users)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Perform excessive automated queries that overload our servers
- Circumvent rate limits or security measures
- Use the service for network reconnaissance for malicious purposes
- Resell the Service without authorization
- Interfere with other users' access to the Service
Note: Violation of our acceptable use policy may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Payment Terms
For paid subscription plans:
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your complete payment card information.
- Subscription Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Price Changes: We may change our prices with 30 days notice.
- Refunds: We offer a 30-day refund policy for annual subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but are non-refundable for the current billing period.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Snapit Software and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
7. DNS Data Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate DNS lookup results:
- Results reflect the state of DNS servers at the time of query
- DNS propagation times vary based on TTL settings and ISP caching
- We query third-party DNS servers and cannot guarantee their availability
- Results should be used as informational data, not as definitive proof
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but provide the Service on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
- Free Tier: No service level agreement (SLA) is provided.
- Paid Tiers: We make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain uptime.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
- WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- Saved queries and history may be deleted after 30 days
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on our website
- Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- Sending email notification for significant changes
13. DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy
DNS Dingo / SnapIT Software respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our Service.
Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that content available through our Service infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification containing:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail to locate it
- Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its prior location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
- Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
Repeat Infringers
We may terminate accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
